Afford Diaspora Grants

Afford Diaspora Grant is a fund that will recognize and support the unique contributions that disapora organizations make to international development through their deployment of financial, intellectual, political, social and cultural capital. The Fund will provide up to £25,000 to six disapora-led development projects in Africa, working in the thematic areas of agriculture, livelihoods, education, health, youth, WASH and income generation activities across all the thematic areas. The funds will be strictly allocated on an 80/20 basis: with diaspora organizations and their partner organizations on the ground, expected to provide 20 per cent of the funding as their matched contribution to the development efforts. The Uk diasopra-led organizations will be supported through a programme of capacity building to strengthen their organizations and enable sustainability.
