About this grant

Following satisfaction with the initial grant supporting 24 South Sudanese students undertaking graduate courses in the UK, The Pharo Foundation has invited The Windle Trust to submit a request to expand the programme to support an additional 8 students in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015. As before, the project aims to enhance the professional skills and capacity of refugees and other affected by conflict in South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda and Kenya, to be effective leaders and contribute to the development of the communities in which they work in Africa. Along with supporting an additional 8 students each year the grant aims to amplify WTI's efforts to include students from other conflict affected countries such as Somalia.
